My name’s Ian K. Houghton, and I’m a 23-year-old native pom who’s lived in Adelaide, South Australia since 2001, with a couple of 6-month sojourns to BC, Canada. I’m very physically active (climbing, biking, running, skiing, weight training; you name it) and love travelling and meeting new people, but I’ll also happily hole myself up on the computer.
My way into the field of graphic design was interest in my mother’s illustration work, but since then I’ve expanded my interests to all areas of design and plenty of associated technical skills.
I’ve worked on digital art, photo-manipulation, 3D modelling, vector illustration, traditional media, web design, spray-paint, basic animation, logo design, print layouts and more. I prefer the logical side of design – grid layouts, vectors and coding – as a solid foundation to keep projects on track, but I also enjoy exploring colour and form in my free time. I love sketching and well-executed typography!
